Invest: South Jersey’s in-person Launch Conference to highlight regional economic growth

2 min read December 2022 — South Jersey’s economy is on the move and, while challenges remain, the region’s path is promising heading into the New Year. This continued success and progression is noted throughout the third annual edition of Capital Analytics Associates’ Invest: South Jersey, which will be officially launched at the upcoming leadership summit on Feb. 2 at the Doubletree by Hilton Cherry Hill. The networking session and conference will take place from 8-11am and gather over 200 top public and private sector leaders in southern New Jersey.

During the launch of Invest: South Jersey 2022-2023, local industry and community leaders will come together to discuss the region’s business climate and how they are leveraging the economic strengths to ensure long-term prosperity for all. The event will feature two panel discussions that will center on the local market’s education and healthcare sectors as well as banking and finance.

Check-in at the conference is set to begin at 8am with a breakfast networking hour. Senior Executive Director Josh Greenberg will be presenting the opening remarks at 9AM, followed by an opening keynote speech provided by City of Camden Mayor Victor Carstarphen. This will be succeeded by two robust panel discussions. 

The first panel, ‘Talent Pipeline: How collaboration among educational institutions and business community can transform future workforce,’ will be moderated by Monica Adya, dean of Rutgers School of Business – Camden and include panelists Frederick Keating, president of Rowan College of South Jersey, Phillip Heath, president of Samaritan, Thomas Edison State University President Merodie Hancock and Ali Houshmand, president of Rowan University.

The second and final panel, ‘Money on the Move: A look at what investors need to do in an evolving economic landscape and how banks and financial institutions can help,’ will feature established leaders including Albert Fox, SVP & executive director of Fox, Penberthy & Dehn at Morgan Stanley, George Destafney, First Senior Vice President and regional president of OceanFirst Bank and Gregory Carlisle, SVP – Southern New Jersey and Coastal Market President, TD Bank.
