2 min read December 2022 — The Triangle has had another banner year and, while challenges remain, the future looks bright. This continued success and progression is noted throughout the second annual edition of Capital Analytics Associates’ Invest: Raleigh-Durham. Growth and dealing with the associated challenges will be one of the central themes at the official Invest: Raleigh-Durham 2022-2023 Launch Conference on Jan. 19 at the Arena Club Restaurant at PNC Arena.

During the launch of Invest: Raleigh-Durham 2022-2023, local industry and community leaders will come together to discuss the region’s business climate and how they are leveraging the Triangle’s inherent economic strengths to ensure long-term prosperity for all. The event will feature three panel discussions that will center on the local market’s real estate sector, the region’s technology and innovation ecosystem, and the economic advantages the local educational system provides.

“We are so excited to return to the Triangle to celebrate the release of our second edition of Invest: Raleigh-Durham, this time in person, and showcase the leaders making the region a national model for economic growth and innovation,” Capital Analytics’ President and CEO Abby Melone said. “Few companies deliver the in-depth business analysis we do for the markets we cover, including Raleigh-Durham. We are proud to present the region’s unparalleled potential in our annual report.”

Check-in at the conference is set to begin at 8:00AM with a breakfast networking hour. Jimena Teran will be presenting the opening remarks at 9:00AM, followed by an opening keynote speech provided by Randy Woodson, chancellor of North Carolina State University. This will be succeeded by three robust panel discussions.

The first panel, ‘What’s next? What a red hot real estate market returning to a semblance of normalcy means for future development demand’, will feature panelists including Shawn Pepple, business unit leader for DPR Construction; Jim Allen, president and broker of the Jim Allen Group | Coldwell Banker HPW; and Tucker Shade, executive vice president and Raleigh-Durham branch manager for Savills. Moderating the panel will be Diego Munoz, president of KW Commercial/ThisPropertyAvailable.com.

The second panel, ‘Future Focus: The Research Triangle was the country’s original tech hub. How is the region working to lead the next generation of tech innovation?’, will be moderated by Cheryl Richards, CEO of Catapult, and include panelists Vlad Rozanovich, senior vice president and president of Lenovo/North America, Mark Yusko, CEO and Chief Investment Officer/Managing Partner of Morgan Creek Capital Management/Morgan Creek Digital and Segra CEO Kevin Hart.

The final panel, ‘Education’s economic heft: How the Triangle’s educational ecosystem provides a driving force for economic growth and regional development’, will feature North Carolina State University Chancellor Randy Woodson; Connie Ledoux Book, president of Elon University; and Angela Quick, the senior vice president of RTI International’s education practice area.
