2 min read November 2022 — Palm Beach County is having its time in the sun, basking in what has been a banner year. This success and growth is noted throughout Invest: Palm Beach 2022-2023, the fourth and latest edition of the business intelligence publication from Capital Analytics Associates. Handling this robust growth will be one of the main focuses of the official Invest: Palm Beach 2022-2023 Launch Conference on Dec. 8 at The Ben Hotel.

During the launch of Invest: Palm Beach 2022-2023, local industry and community leaders will come together to discuss the region’s business climate and how they are capturing current economic tailwinds to ensure long-term prosperity for all. The event will feature three panel discussions that will center on the synergies between the region’s healthcare and educational ecosystems, the current state of development for the area’s real estate, infrastructure, and construction sectors, and the county’s burgeoning economy and what strategic growth, whether organic or inorganic, looks like.

“We are so excited to celebrate the release of our fourth edition of Invest: Palm Beach and showcase the leaders making the county a national powerhouse of economic growth and opportunity,” Capital Analytics’ President and CEO Abby Melone said. “Few companies deliver the in-depth business analysis we do for the markets we cover, including Palm Beach County. We are proud to present the ongoing transformation of the region in our annual report.”

Sign-in at the conference is set to begin at 10:00AM with a breakfast networking hour. Abby Melone will be presenting the opening remarks at 11:00AM. Three ensuing panel discussions will tail Mrs. Melone’s speech. Two keynote addresses will be delivered by Kelly Smallridge, president and CEO of Palm Beach County’s Business Development Board, and Mayor Keith James of the City of West Palm Beach.

The first panel, Twin Pillars: How the Healthcare and Education sectors can underpin the future economy of Palm Beach County and the challenges that are arising, will feature panelists including Marie Been, Vice President of Network Development for , Florida Blue; Dean Julie Pilitsis of the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine; Daniel Gropper, dean of the College of Business at Florida Atlantic University; and Dr. Ralph Maurer, head of school at Oxbridge Academy. The panel will be moderated by Dr. David Christiansen, the Chief of Schools for Charter Schools USA.

The second panel, Building the Beach: How Palm Beach County’s real estate and construction sectors are responding to unprecedented growth — and higher costs — to shape the region’s future, will dive into how the changing real estate landscape is fueling further opportunities for job growth and regional development even as the construction industry navigates the challenges that emerge in the wake of robust demand. Panelists include Dionna Hall, CEO, Broward, Palm Beaches & St. Lucie Realtors® and BeachesMLS; James C. Gavigan, Jr., shareholder at Jones Foster; Cotton & Company President Laurie Andrews; and Palm Tran Executive Director Clinton Forbes.

The final panel, Capital Costs: Pursuing strategic growth amid market downturns and what opportunity looks like in a changing environment, will cover how the region’s economy presents opportunities for growth, mergers and acquisitions. Presented by Marc List, senior managing director for CBIZ, the panelists will include Andrew Duffell, president, Research Park at Florida Atlantic University; Raphael Clemente, executive director of the West Palm Beach Downtown Development Authority; Phillip Ward, managing partner of Ward Damon; and Ian Goldberger, CPA Principal of Transaction Advisory, Business Consulting Services at Kaufman Rossin.
