2 min read January 2023 — Nashville isn’t slowing down. With economic tailwinds carrying the city and Middle Tennessee forward, the region’s continued success and local businesses’ optimism for the future is a central theme running through the second annual edition of Capital Analytics Associates’ Invest: Nashville. Growth — and how to responsibly manage and maintain it, will be highlighted at the official Invest: Nashville 2022-2023 Launch Conference on Feb 23 from 8-11.30am at the Bridgestone Arena.

During the launch of Invest: Nashville 2022-2023, local industry and community leaders will come together to discuss the region’s business climate and how they are leveraging Middle Tennessee’s inherent economic strengths to ensure long-term prosperity for all. The event will feature three panel discussions that will center on the local market’s healthcare and higher education ecosystem, the shifting financial landscape and the region’s real estate development

“We are so excited to return to Nashville to celebrate the release of our second edition of Invest: Nashville, this time live and in person, to showcase the leaders making the region a national model for economic growth and innovation,” Capital Analytics’ President and CEO Abby Melone said. “Few companies deliver the in-depth business analysis we do for the markets we cover, including Nashville. We are proud to present the region’s unparalleled potential in our annual report.”

Check-in at the conference is set to begin at 8am with a breakfast networking hour. Regional Director Jimena Teran will be presenting the opening remarks at 9am, followed by an opening keynote speech. This will be succeeded by three robust panel discussions.

The first panel, ‘Cranes in the sky: How Nashville’s growth has fuelled a real estate boom and how that’s changing development,’ will feature John Vardaman, business unit leader at DPR Construction, Sean Buck, senior vice president of JE Dunn and Mark Deutschmann, founder of The CityLiving Group.

The second panel, ‘Financial Fortitude: How Nashville’s financial leaders are responding to regional growth in a shifting landscape,’ will be moderated by Ryan McLaughlin Wood, South Central Market Head of UBS Wealth Management and include panelists Truist Regional President Johnny Moore Jr., Bradford Vieira, executive vice president & regional CEO for ServisFirst Bank and Lee Blank, market executive of Regions Bank.

The final panel, ‘A Complete Ecosystem: How Healthcare & Higher Ed drive economic development across Nashville and provide a unique opportunity for regional growth,’ will feature a representative from Middle Tennessee State University as moderator, with panelists including Joseph Webb, CEO of Nashville General Hospital, Chris Stirling, CEO and COO of The Surgical Clinic, Belmont University President Greg Jones and Shanna Jackson, president of Nashville State Community College.

Hundreds of high-level guests and officials from across Middle Tennessee are expected to attend the in-person conference.
