Invest: Greater Orlando 2022 Launch Conference to showcase region’s diverse economy

Orlando2 min read May 2022 — With a focus on diversifying the local economy, Greater Orlando emerged from the pandemic as an epicenter of business activity for industries ranging from life sciences to space exploration. The near-term economic outlook and the region’s strategies to sustain success will be focal points of the official Invest: Greater Orlando 2022 Launch Conference on Thursday, June 23.

During the launch for Invest: Greater Orlando 2022, an annual business report compiled by media platform Capital Analytics, local industry and community leaders will come together to discuss the region’s business climate and how to leverage economic growth to enhance prosperity for all. Orlando Economic Partnership President and CEO Tim Giuliani, and Florida’s Space Coast Office of Tourism Executive Director Peter Cranis will be the keynote speakers for the event.

“We are thrilled to celebrate the release of our second edition of Invest: Greater Orlando, and showcase the leaders that are making the region a national reference for economic growth and diversification,” Capital Analytics CEO Abby Melone said.  “Few publications deliver the in-depth business analysis we do for the markets we cover, including Greater Orlando. Melone will present the opening remarks for the conference, which starts at 11 a.m. on Zoom Webinar. She will be followed by an opening keynote speech from Tim Giuliani, two robust panel discussions and a closing keynote speech by Peter Cranis. 

The first panel, “Orlando for All: Leveraging a growing economy to enhance equity,” will look at how the region is building a more equitable system as the economy continues to grow. Moderated by Gaby Ortigoni, president and CEO of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, panelists will include KMI International CEO Eric Quinn and FAMU College of Law Dean Deidré Keller. 

The second panel, “Uncertain landscape: Managing investment expectations amid macroeconomic challenges,” will uncover how the outlook for investors and the financial sector is changing as a results of profound transformations over the last few years. Panelists will include One Florida Bank President Rick Pullum, Skyway Capital Markets CEO Russell Hunt and Fountainhead Commercial Capital Founder and CEO Chris Hurn, with a moderator to be announced shortly.
