 City of Fort Lauderdale2 min read May 2021 — As the local market begins to emerge from the pandemic landscape, Greater Fort Lauderdale’s business and political leaders, including Fort Lauderdale Mayor Dean Trantalis, will come together in an online forum on Wednesday, June 16, to discuss the region’s economic climate and how to prepare for a post-pandemic world. 

Hosted by integrated media platform Capital Analytics, the highly anticipated event will begin at 11 a.m. via Zoom Webinar. The forum will focus on two robust panel discussions centered around recovery from a civic leadership perspective and innovation across multiple industries. It will also feature a keynote speech delivered by Broward Health Medical Center CEO Heather Havericak. 

Also on the docket is the launch of the company’s critical annual report, Invest: Greater Fort Lauderdale 2021. Compiled after eight months of thoroughly researched analysis, the fourth edition of Invest: Greater Fort Lauderdale highlights the opportunities in the local economy through C-level insider insights and key business intelligence.

The second panel, “Innovative ideas: A glimpse into how innovation has thrived in Broward County over the last year,” will explore the agility and innovation happening across the education, hospitality and tourism, and healthcare sectors. Panelists include Nova Southeastern University President George Hanbury, Visit Lauderdale President and CEO Stacy Ritter, The Restaurant People CEO and co-Founder Tim Petrillo, and Miami Jewish Health CEO Jeffrey Freimark.
