WinterFest Ice Skating at Cooper River

If you’re in Camden County, make sure to grab your skates and head on over to Cherry Hill’s Cooper River Park, with Camden County’s WinterFest Ice Skating opening its doors the day after Thanksgiving on Nov. 25. Skate rentals are only $6 and tickets are available for $7.50 for adults and children up to 12 years old, and $5.50 for seniors and veterans. Food options are available in the lodge as well as large parties, making WinterFest fun for family and friends, and will be ongoing until Feb. 26.

15th Annual The Fast and the Furriest 5K Turkey Trot

If you’re looking to lose a few calories before you’re more stuffed than a Thanksgiving Turkey, Ocean City invites you to sign up for its 15th annual Turkey Trot 5K. There will be three divisions – runners, walkers and children all starting early in the morning at 8.30am. Proceeds go towards supporting the Ocean City Humane Society. With pre-registration starting on Wednesday and in-person at 7am on the day of, the Turkey Trot gives you the opportunity to support the community and our furry friends as well.

Swedesboro’s South Jersey Holiday Light Show

Taking place from Nov. 18 to Dec. 31 over in Gloucester County’s Swedesboro, the South Jersey Holiday Light show returns for its third season, with visitors welcome and encouraged to bundle up, pack a snack or some hot cocoa, and tune their radios to sync to the city’s light show performance along the mile-long course. With both familiar and new displays, visitors have the option of a single general admission ticket for only $25 for the whole car, or a season pass for $62.50. Tickets are $30 at the gate.

Ocean City’s Miracle on Asbury Ave

While it might still be early for some, Ocean City is ready to bring in the Christmas spirit, with Downtown celebrating the “Miracle on Asbury Avenue.” From 2-5pm, join the city as carolers, performers and revelers all enjoying the holiday cheer and supporting local businesses as Ocean City puts its spin on Black Friday, with vendor discounts and deals for visitors to take advantage of. The event culminates at 5pm, with Santa himself coming down from City Hall’s rooftop, with the help of the city fire department, greeting children and helping to light the Christmas tree, illuminating City Hall.

Meet Santa at the Battleship New Jersey

While Santa’s still preparing his toys, he’ll be available for breakfast alongside the crew of Battleship New Jersey, America’s most decorated battleship on Dec. 17 from 9-11am. With the chow line serving hot and ready meals and tickets starting at $24 for children and $28 for adults, military families pay only $15 and Battleship members receive a 20% discount. Activities for kids and photos with Santa are there to make the memory last, while guests can expect a grand tour of the battleship at the end of the breakfast.
