From festivals to pumpkin shows to apple picking, South Jersey is the perfect destination for fall festivities. Here are the Top 5 fall activities in South Jersey that are just around the corner.

The Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce is presenting a food and music street fair on Saturday, Oct. 9 from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m., featuring a full day of fantastic food options, music, shopping and more. From noon to 5 p.m., the “Kids Korner” will be open to entertain children, featuring games, pumpkin painting and inflatable bounce houses. The festival will take place in Downtown Wildwood starting at Byrne Plaza along Pacific Avenue between Oak and Schellenger Avenues in Wildwood. There is no cost to attend.

Atlantic City Comedy FestivalAtlantic City Comedy Festival

Running from Oct. 9 to Oct. 10,  the Atlantic City Comedy Festival is an annual comedy festival featuring some of today’s hottest comedians. On Oct. 9, the festival will feature Sommore, Lavell Crawford, DC Young Fly, Kountry Wayne and Karlous Miller. On Oct. 10, performers include Mike Epps, Bruce Bruce, Earthquake, Arnez J and Desi Banks. The festival will begin at 8 p.m. on Oct. 9 and 7 p.m. on Oct. 10 at Boardwalk Hall.

The 18th annual South Jersey Pumpkin Show is set for Oct. 9 to Oct. 10. The event will include amusement rides, hay rides, the Pumpkin Pageant, a Halloween costume contest, a pumpkin dessert contest, headless horsemen, scarecrows, NJ’s Largest Pumpkin Pie and a giant pumpkin tower. There will also be a great deal of food options with over 175 vendors and a food court with picnic-style dining. Best of all, kids get free pumpkins.

Running from Oct. 14 to Oct. 17, the Cape May Fall Festival will be in-person in the birding mecca of Cape May. The event will include a selection of field trips, trolley trips, boat trips and indoor programs, as well as a Thursday evening kick-off party at the Rusty Nail. The event will be in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Cape May Bird Observatory. It is noted that individuals attending the event should be prepared for lots of birds.
