Atlanta’s economic resilience in the face of unprecedented challenges to highlight business forum and launch of Focus: Atlanta 2020.

Atlanta, Ga. – In this time of uncertainty, Atlanta’s leaders are coming together in an online business forum to discuss the region’s economic climate and how to prepare for a post-pandemic world. Hosted by integrated media platform Capital Analytics, the highly anticipated event will take place on Thursday, Nov. 19, at 11:30 a.m. via Zoom Webinar. 

Following a brief introduction by Capital Analytics’ CEO Abby Melone, the forum will focus on three robust panel discussions and a keynote speech by Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport CEO John Selden. Also on the docket is the launch of the company’s critical annual analysis, Focus: Atlanta 2020. Compiled after eight months of thoroughly researched analysis, the third edition of Focus: Atlanta highlights the opportunities in Atlanta’s economy through C-level insider insights and key business intelligence. 

Known for its robust higher education system, diversifying industries, and home to the busiest airport in the world, Atlanta is poised to continue carrying Georgia’s reputation as the best state for business even in the midst of the coronavirus-related uncertainty. During the forum, participants will address how the real estate, education and financial services sectors are positioning for success in a post-pandemic world. 

The panel “Looking toward 2021: What the future holds for Atlanta’s real estate market” will feature Perkins + Will Managing Principal for Atlanta’s Corporate, Commercial practice Kim Rousseau, Jamestown Properties CEO Matt Bronfman, and H.J. Russell & Company CEO Michael Russell. The “Inclusive Education: Diversity and its impact on upward mobility” panel will feature University of West Georgia President Brendan Kelly and Clark University President George French. The “Financial institutions and their adaptation to the virtual world panel” panel will feature FIS Global Senior Vice President & Division Executive for Debit & ATM Melissa Jankowski, Fifth Third Bank Regional President Randy Koporc, Peachtree Planning Tax Attorney James Gnefkow, and Wells Fargo Market Executive for Metro Atlanta Howard Kim. More panelists will be announced shortly.

Hundreds of high-level guests and officials from Atlanta’s key industries and economic institutions will be tuning into the event.
