2023 Atlanta Jazz Festival
Throughout the weekend, many will be heading to Piedmont Park for the annual Atlanta Jazz Festival, one of the country’s largest free jazz festivals. More than 100 of the best jazz artists will gather to perform for the community. Everything from local musicians, national jazz greats, youth jazz band competitions and family-friendly activities will be available.

Stone Mountain for Memorial Day Light Show & Fireworks
In honor of the troops, Stone Mountain Park will be hosting a new summer light show along with their special patriotic fireworks. This year, the park will be debuting a new light show called “Music Across America Drone & Light Show.” Stone Mountain Park has invested in new light show technology to create a memorable experience for attendees. The show promises to be extravagant, with ten times larger video projections and laser beams compared to years past. The drone show will consist of 250 color-changing drones that are synchronized to music.

Alpharetta Memorial Day Tribute
The City of Alpharetta, along with the Rotary Club of Alpharetta, will be hosting a Memorial Day tribute on May 29. The program will begin at 9AM. It will include renditions of the National Anthem and the Pledge of Allegiance with Grant McGarry, a former US Army Ranger and best-selling author of “A Night in the Pech Valley,” being the keynote speaker.

Atlanta Caribbean Carnival
Celebrate Carnival and Caribbean culture with Atlanta’s Caribbean Carnival. The event takes place May 27 and is an all day party going from 10AM to 10PM. There is a full line up of music acts to entertain the crowds as well as food vendors to keep bellies full.

4th Annual Memorial Day Classic 5K at Atlanta
Put on some sneakers and run the Atlanta Memorial Day 5k Classic marathon. The last mile of the run, the Red White and Blue Mile, pays tribute to the nation’s fallen heroes and is a competitive finish with scored race times. The run will be on May 28 from noon to 5pm.

Alpharetta Arts Streetfest
On May 27 and 28 from 10AM to 5PM, visitors can check out the Alpharetta Arts Streetfest and witness more than 100 artists gather and showcase their art. Art enthusiasts can meet the artists and purchase their art. Food and drinks will be available as well. For more entertainment, there will be street performers and children’s activities.
